Early Childhood Program
Ages 2 through 5 will love using their bodies, minds, and imaginations as they learn the foundations of dance. Students will begin learning how to communicate their creative ideas through movement while building their coordination and gross and fine motor skills. Dancers will discover how to use their bodies to create different sizes and shapes while exploring changes in direction, level, speed, and energy. Using props, stories, and imaginative games, dancers will also learn to express their ideas, cooperate with friends to create simple dances, and build self-confidence.

ChoreoLab:
Student Performing Ensemble
We believe that dance is an art form, not a sport. Each dancer brings their own unique ideas, perspectives, and value into the studio and we celebrate all contributions to the learning or creating process.
Students in our Youth Division have the opportunity to participate in our Student Performing Ensemble. Each week, students will work with professionals to learn the art of choreography, craft their own dances working together with peers, and then have opportunities to perform in the community. Through this process we encourage students to learn how to cooperate with friends and problem solve together.
What makes this so unique? YOUR DANCER WILL CREATE THE DANCE! Students won’t learn a dance choreographed by the instructor. With age appropriate guidance, they will be the choreographers and the performers. They will learn from professionals in the field about costuming, lighting design, set design, and more. It’s an incredible experience!
Students choosing to participate in the ChoreoLab Performing Ensemble are required to take at least one Modern Dance class each week.
