A Harrowing World
Dance, Poetry, & Song
Hixon Dance joins forces with The Ohio Song Project and award-winning poet Maggie Smith to present a sumptuous evening of original dance, live new music, and poetry. Based on six of Smith's compelling works, the dance explores sororal and maternal relationships, the way we create shelter through our experiences, and how the past shapes our perspective of the world. Original commissioned music by local composers Jacob Reed and Lauren Spavelko will be performed live by The Ohio Song Project. Don't miss this innovative collaboration!
This performance has been postponed due to the COVID-19 emergency. New tentative performance dates are March 2022.
