OUR MISSION

To promote the artistic development and visibility of local dance artists

To promote continual artistic growth for all artists through adjudication and feedback

To promote central Ohio dance artists to the wider community and outside professional adjudicators

To grow the audience for modern/contemporary dance in Columbus and the surrounding areas
Successful applicants will have their work presented in a fully-produced show at Columbus Dance Theatre located at 592 East Main Street, Columbus, OH on November 11 & 12 at 8pm and November 13 at 3pm, 2022. Choreographers will receive a digital video recording of their piece after production. All chosen choreographers will receive an honorarium for presenting.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18+ and be a resident of Franklin County (temporary residence acceptable)

Works must be 5-12 minutes in length.

Works must incorporate modern or contemporary dance style. Fusion works that incorporate contemporary dance style welcome.

You may submit incomplete pieces if they are in a near-finished state.

Online submissions with video links or downloads only. (No video-dance or dance-for-camera submissions will be considered at this time.)

If selected, choreographers agree to actively promote the showcase through all available means.

It is the responsibility of each choreographer to attain copyright permission for any recorded music or other copyrighted materials used in production.

No more than two applications per choreographer.

Choreographers currently enrolled in dance degree programs are welcome to submit.
Please submit your completed application form and $18 non-refundable fee no later than 11:59pm on September 16, 2022.
